Born from 14 years of watching repair done wrong.
Marcus Bell spent 14 years as a factory service technician for major appliance manufacturers — long enough to see the industry’s bad habits up close. Call centers that quoted nothing. Techs sent out with empty vans. Homeowners pushed toward replacements they didn’t need because a repair “wasn’t worth the trip.”
In 2017 he bought a used van, filled it with parts, and started answering his own phone to build a trusted Detroit appliance repair company.
The rules were simple: tell people the price before you start, carry the parts so the job finishes in one visit, and never sell a replacement when a repair will do. Detroit responded. Word spread from Warren to Taylor, and one van became a fleet of eight.
Today the shop covers the city of Detroit and nine metro suburbs, but the phone still gets answered the same way — by someone who can actually tell you what’s likely wrong with your fridge.
